
Rachel Babor
Founder | Yoga Teacher | Mom | Performer
Rachel started Inner Compass Yoga in 2017 after completing her Yoga Teacher Training at Shanti Yoga Studio in Nelson BC in 2016.

Rachel leads from an authentic place and loves weaving in elements of live music to help us drop deeper inside ourselves, accessing stored emotions needing to be brought to the surface. ​​
For over a decade Rachel was a professional performer on board cruise ships and on stage across Canada in musicals.
​
Rachel was inspired to start a second small business called "Mini Mushroom Music" in 2022 after becoming a mom to her two children. She leads a nature-based music class in the forest for families with the hope to inspire a love for the natural world from a young age.

Rachel is an outdoor enthusiast, fundraiser and part time stay at home mom. She feels her children are her greatest teachers.

Julie Fasen
Yoga Teacher | Massage Therapist | Farmer | Mom
Julie has been an RMT for 26 years, and graduated from her 200 hr Yoga Teacher Training program in 2018. She combines her knowledge of the body through massage therapy with her yoga teachings to develop unique therapeutic classes that build strength, stability and mobility.
Since graduating she's expanded her knowledge in Yoga Tune Up, (teaching students how to perform self massage using massage therapy balls). She's become Certified in Functional Range Conditioning and has taken the Love Your Brain program. Since then she has brought movement and meditation into the lives of those who have suffered TBI.
Julie is passionate about using yoga and movement to release emotions stored in our body’s muscles, in order to reduce anxiety, stress, and bring a deeper relaxation to the body and mind.
She became a yoga teacher to bring therapeutic movement into people's lives to empower them with the tools to move, meditate and live better within their bodies.
When not massaging clients or teaching yoga, Julie can be found outside enjoying nature in her gardens, the forest, caring for her animals, hiking, riding her ATV, and enjoying all forms of movement.

Jessika Marie
Facilitator | Coach | Somatic Practitioner | Mom
Jessika is dedicated to serving women as they move through the always-evolving call to create a compassionate, empowering, and embodied relationship with their SOULS and community.
Jessika is a MotherCircle facilitator, guiding a community that centres Motherhood as a rite of passage. She developed the popular online course UnShame My Story which is designed to guide women through the process of releasing and reconciling their shame stories and hosts the Soul Maven Podcast; a series of soul led conversations that support women on their personal and archetypal journeys of self inquiry.
Jessika is professionally trained in the areas of Functional Medicine Coaching, Reiki, Holistic Nutrition, Birth and Postpartum, Birth Story Listening, Family Constellations, Creative Somatic Practices, and Yoga/ Meditation and has woven these modalities together over the last decade to create deep-dive experiences for her clients.

Ariane Wieck
Sound Bath Guide | Yoga Teacher | Maker | Mom
Ariane is a multi-passionate individual, and has spent her life learning, teaching, experimenting, and honing skills in various disciplines including visual art, craft, and education.
More recently, her focus has evolved to include yoga, meditation, Ayurveda, somatic breathwork, vagus nerve stimulation for stress management, herbalism and sound healing.
Ariane has established a creative-wellness business Willow Lane Studio, a special space where individuals can connect with their true selves in profound and meaningful ways. She offers a variety of workshops, sessions and retreats.
Ariane has completed level 1 & 2 sound healing courses and loves the freedom to create unique, intuitive sound experiences that can provide a restful and healing immersive space for others.
The experience is a healing exchange between the bowls, the teacher and those who participate. Sound healing and singing bowls have been very helpful in her own healing and she is honoured to share this with you and be part of your journey.

Crystal Young
Pilates Instructor | Dental Hygienist | Mom
Crystal finished her Mat, Standing, and Pre & Post Natal Pilates courses in 2014. She taught pilates for several years before kids, during pregnancy and post natal. She has 4 kids ages 2, 4, 6 and 8 and understands the importance of a healthy pelvic floor and strong core for every day functionality.
After taking a step back from teaching in 2020 to focus on her family Crystal excited to get back into teaching what she loves and believes in. She has always incorporated Pilates moves into her at-home fitness routine and is excited to share her passion of pilates with you.

You will notice her classes consists of pilates moves in a timed interval format. You’ll leave feeling stronger, sweatier, and toned after class. We will dig deep to find and strengthen muscles throughout the body. Pilates is for all body types, young and old. There are so many modifications so all fitness levels can enjoy a safe workout.

Sarah McCartney
Yoga Instructor | Mom | ECE
Sarah, a mother of two, transitioned from working in the school system to running a home daycare when her first child was born allowing her to stay home with her children. Now that her children are in school, she is embarking on a new path.

Building on her background in teaching kids, prenatal and Hatha yoga, along with her experience operating a home daycare, Sarah possesses a deep understanding of the needs of mothers and young children.
​
Currently pursuing her doula certification to further support families during the postpartum period, she is dedicated to creating joyful and empowering yoga experiences for moms and babies.
​
Outside of yoga, Sarah enjoys triathlon training, reading and spending time with her family.

Hillary Beaudry
Admin Manager WLU | Mom | Fitness Coach | Musician
Hillary grew up in the Maritimes, where she developed a deep appreciation for the beauty of nature and the arts. A dedicated mother to two wonderful daughters, she balances being a mom with her full-time role as an Administrative Manager at Wilfrid Laurier University. You may also see Hillary coaching classes at Crossfit Elmira.
Hillary holds a Master's degree in Education, which reflects her love of learning and enriches her approach to mentoring others. She is dedicated to serving as a better ally by sharing resources on Indigenous ways of knowing and integrating these perspectives into her work and personal life to foster a deeper understanding and respect for diverse cultures.
Her love for the performing arts shines through in her talents for dance, piano, guitar, and voice, which she shares with others at Inner Compass Studio alongside her friend Rachel.
Hillary is committed to supporting others in feeling their best, whether through fitness, music, nature, or simply spending time in community together. She strives to bring warmth, encouragement, and a sense of intentionality to her interactions, using her multifaceted passions to uplift and inspire those around her.

Phaedra Tettero-Crosby
Waldorf Teacher | Mom | Farmer | Maker
Phaedra has a deep love for the natural world, which was nurtured by her childhood in rural West Grey where she grew up attending the Waldorf school.
Now living in Guelph, Ont, with her husband and four children, Phaedra continues to weave nature into her daily life. Following her teaching passion, Pheadra attained her Waldorf teacher training in Toronto at Rudolf Steiner Centre. She also has a degree and extensive experience as a biodynamic farmer, and loves bringing her passion for plants and holistic living into her work.
Her garden overflows with healing plants, which she transforms into natural remedies for her community through her handmade product line, Queen of Cups.
Whether through gardening, cooking, teaching or creative pursuits, Phaedra remains deeply connected to the rhythms of the earth.
She is passionate about the Waldorf Philosophies and cannot wait to bring her knowledge and experience to the Elmira community.
